Some of us had been fortunate to preview this tape long before it would appear on the market. However, I don't know what to say that I would not be able to say about any music that Krishna Das has produced. Always pure devotion that one can feel from the heart.

The songs on this recording reflect a process that has been going on a long time. It seems that everything has led perfectly to this moment...Growing up on Long island, hiding under the covers late at night listening to Rock and Roll on the radio, Music dreaming. Dreaming of freedom and the songs that brought me a taste of it. Dreaming of mountains and sky and open space and then getting on my bike and riding off to the prison of high school. What torture it was to be stuck in a life that I didn't even knew I was stuck in because I didn't know that you could get out of it.
Taken from the cover.

Quite subtle meditative music which they claim is based on a 2,000 year old Yogic meditation practice. You will hear the sanskrit sounds that are matched with the chakras. It comes with a book that explains how to breathe with the chanting of the chakra seed mantras. It includes trance-inducing drumming, traditional Indian sitar and flute, along with the euphoric chanting mantras. Great background music for massage sessions, or just to listen to on your own. Artists who contributed to this album include Amitava Chatterjee, Tommy Brunjes, Laurel Masse, Steve Gorn, and critically acclaimed author ("When the Drummers Were Women"), musician and teacher, Layne Redmond, who herself has practiced yoga for over 30 years.
